Cocoa Marshmallow Bars Recipe

1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon

1/2 cup

3 tablespoons
1 cup
2 cups
butter, softened
granulated sugar
all purpose flour
baking soda
baking cocoa
walnuts, chopped
miniature marshmallows
chocolate chips
creamy peanut butter
rice crisp cereal

nonstick pan spray

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 16 to 18 minutes
Pan Type: jelly roll pan

Cocoa Marshmallow Bars Directions

Preheat your oven. Spay pan with nonstick pan spray.

In a large mixing bowl combine the softened butter and sugar and beat until creamy.
Add the eggs and vanilla beat until fluffy.
Add the flour, baking powder, salt and baking cocoa and mix on low speed of mixer until all dry ingredients are moistened.
Add the nuts and stir well.
Spread the batter in pan and bake for the allotted time or until tooth pick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Remove cake from oven and layer evenly with marsh mellows. Let set for about 5 minutes or until melted and then spread out evenly over bars.
Set aside to cool.
In a small saucepan combine the chocolate chips, butter and peanut butter.
Cook over medium heat and stir constantly until melted and smooth.
Add the cereal and and gently stir to blend.
Carefully spread over cooled bars and cool completely before cutting.
Serve cocoa marshmallow bars along with your favorite drink.
