Velvet Fudge Recipe

2 cups
1/2 cup
1 cup
3 tablespoons
1 teaspoon
1 cup
sugar
cocoa
milk
butter
vanilla
chopped walnuts

Recipe Pan Type: 9" pan


Velvet Fudge Directions

Mix sugar, cocoa and milk in a saucepan, place over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
Then cook without stirring until candy thermometer reaches 238° or until a little mixture dropped in cold water forms a soft ball.
Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla.
Set aside until lukewarm (110°).
Beat the fudge by hand with wooden spoon until it starts to hold shape, mix in the walnuts and pour into buttered pan.
Cool fudge before cutting.

This is good ole fashioned velvet fudge, just like my mom used to make.
