Potato Patty Bake Recipe

1 pound
3 tablespoons
1 cup
6 large
1/8 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
2 1/2 cups
ham, cubed
potato patties, frozen
Swiss cheese, shredded
onion powder
nonstick pan spray

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 45 to 50 minutes
Pan Type: 2 quart casserole dish

Potato Patty Directions

Preheat your oven.

Spray pan and layer cubed ham in the bottom.
Heat butter in the skillet.
Fry potatoes in butter until golden brown.
Drain onto paper towels.
Arrange potatoes on top of ham cubes.
Top potatoes with shredded cheese.
In a medium mixing bowl combine the eggs, pepper, salt, onion powder and milk.
Beat with a wire whip until well beaten.
Pour egg mixture over top of the cheese and potato patty.
Bake potato patty for the allotted time or until set.
Before cutting, let potato patties set 5 minutes.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
