Tuna Cheese Casserole Recipe

1 – 7 ounce can
2 cups
2 tablespoons
2 tablespoons
1/2 teaspoons
1/8 teaspoon
1 cup
1 can
1/4 cup
1 cup
1 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
tuna fish
cooked white rice
butter
flour
salt
pepper
milk
cream of celery soup
mayonnaise
cottage cheese
lemon juice
parsley flakes

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 30 – 35 minutes
Pan Type: 2 1/2 quart casserole dish


Tuna Cheese Casserole Directions

Preheat your oven.

Open tuna and drain well. Pour into casserole dish. Add the rice to casserole dish.

In a small saucepan melt the butter add the flour salt and pepper cook and stir over medium heat and make a paste. Stir in the milk, soup, mayonnaise, cottage cheese, lemon juice and parsley flakes. Mix well and cook over medium heat until heated through.

Pour into casserole and mix together well.

Bake in preheated oven for the allotted time.

Recipe Serves: 4 – 6

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat.
