Beef & Spanish Rice Casserole

1 pound
1/2 cup
1/2 cup
1 clove
2 –16 ounce cans
1 1/3 cup
1/4 teaspoon
1/8 teaspoon
1 cup
lean ground beef
green bell pepper, chopped
onion, chopped
garlic, minced
tomato sauce
ground black pepper
cheddar cheese, shredded

Recipe Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Pan Type: rice cooker / skillet

Beef and Spanish Rice Casserole Directions

Steam rice in rice cooker or on top of stove according to manufactures directions.

In a large skillet, brown ground beef with the chopped green pepper, chopped onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink. Drain well. Add the tomato sauce, salt and pepper to the meat mixture. Cook over medium heat for 20 minutes.

Stir in rice and cook for 5 minutes longer.

Transfer to bowl to serve and top with cheddar cheese.

Recipe Serves: 6 to 8
