Turkey Rice Casserole Recipe

1 – 10.5 ounce can
2 cups
1 teaspoon
1/8 teaspoon
1 teaspoon
1 1/2 cups
1 1/2 cups
1 1/2 cups
1 – 2 ounce jar
2 tablespoon
1/2 teaspoons
cream of celery
water
salt
ground black pepper
Worcestershire
minute rice, uncooked
turkey, diced
green peas
pimento’s, diced
parsley, chopped
marjoram

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Pan Type: 2 1/2 quart casserole dish


Turkey Rice Casserole Directions

Preheat your oven.

In a medium saucepan combine the soup, water, salt, ground black pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat.

Remove from the heat. Pour mixture into the casserole pan. Add to the soup mixture the rice, turkey, peas, pimento’s, parsley and marjoram. Stir well.

Bake turkey rice in hot oven for the allotted time.

Note: This is a great recipe to use leftover turkey.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat.
