Supreme Chicken Recipe

2 cans
1 – 4 ounce can
1 1/2 packages
1 1/2 cups
1 3/4 cups
1 – 4 1/2 to 5 pound
1 – 10 ounce box
1 – 6 ounce can
cream of mushroom soup
mushrooms, sliced
dry onion soup
milk
regular rice, raw
whole chicken
frozen peas and carrots, thawed
tiny shrimp, drained
Paprika

Oven Temp: 375°
Recipe Cooking Time: 90 minutes
Pan Type: 9 x 13" baking pan


Supreme Chicken Directions

Preheat your oven.

In a large mixing bowl combine the cream of mushroom soup, mushrooms with their juice, dry onion soup, milk, raw rice and the drained shrimp. Mix and pour into baking dish.

Add the thawed peas and carrots over top of soup mixture.

Cut chicken into serving size pieces and lay on top of mixture in the casserole.

Sprinkle chicken with the paprika.

Cover and bake for the allotted time.

Recipe Serves: about 6

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
