Green Bean Chicken Special Recipe

chicken, cooked, diced
celery, chopped
Chinese noodles
water chestnuts, sliced, drained
onion, chopped
green beans, drained
cream of mushroom soup
cheese soup
milk
ground black pepper
Chinese noodles
almonds, slivered

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Pan Type: 9 x 13" baking pan


Green Bean Chicken Directions

Preheat your oven.

In a large bowl combine the diced chicken, chopped celery, Chinese noodles, drained water chestnuts, chopped onion and drained green beans. Gently mix together and turn out into a pan.

In a medium saucepan combine the soups, milk and pepper. Cook over medium heat until smooth. Pour over top of the green bean chicken mixture.

Sprinkle second amount of noodles and slivered almonds over the top of chicken mixture. Bake your green bean chicken special uncovered in a hot oven for the allotted time.

Recipe Serves: 6 to 8

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
