Cream Cheese Quiche Recipe

1 – 9”
1 tablespoons
1/4 cup
1 clove
1 – 8 ounce package
1 cup
1/4 teaspoon
1/8 teaspoon
4 large
1 cup
2 ounces
4 ounces
2 tablespoons
baked quiche pie crust
onion, chopped
garlic, minced
cream cheese
half and half
Canadian bacon, chopped
chopped pimientos, drained
sliced mushrooms drained
chopped chives, optional

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Pan Type: 9" quiche pie plate

Cream Cheese Quiche Directions

Preheat your oven.

In a large skillet melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic. Sauté until tender. Add the milk and cheese and cook until cheese is melted.

Remove from the heat. Add the salt and pepper, mix well. In a large bowl beat the eggs until fluffy. Add the chopped bacon, drained pimientos, mushrooms and cheese mixture, mix well.

Bake cream cheese quiche until set.
Garnish with chopped chives (optional).

Recipe Serves: 6 – 8

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
