Simple Baked French Toast Recipe

1/2 cup
1 cup
2 teaspoons
8 – 10 slices
6 large
1 1/2 cups
1/4 teaspoon
1 teaspoon
2 tablespoons
brown sugar, packed firm
powdered sugar

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Pan Type: 9 x 13" baking pan

French Toast Directions

Preheat your oven.

Place the butter in a pan and put into oven to melt.

In a small bowl blend the brown sugar and cinnamon. Remove pan from oven and sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the melted butter. Arrange two layers of bread on top of brown sugar mixture.

In a large mixing bowl combine the eggs, milk, salt and vanilla. Beat with a wire whisk. Pour egg mixture over the top of bread. Cover and refrigerate simple french toast overnight.

Next morning uncover and bake french toast.
Remove french toast from oven and let set for 5 minutes.
Cut into squares, invert on serving platter and then sprinkle simple baked french toast with powdered sugar.
Serve french toast with your favorite toppings
