French Puff Muffin Recipe

3 tablespoons
3 tablespoons
1/2 cup
1 large
1/2 cup
1 1/2 cups
1 1/2 teaspoons
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
1/4 cup
1/3 cup
3/4 teaspoon
shortening
butter
granulated sugar
egg
milk
flour
baking powder
salt
ground nutmeg
butter, melted
granulated sugar
cinnamon

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 20 – 25 minutes
Pan Type: muffin pan


Puff Muffin Directions

Preheat your oven, spray muffin pan with non stick spray.

In a mixer bowl cream the shortening, butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add the egg and beat well.
Stir in the milk.
Add the flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg, mix until well blended.
Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.
Bake French puff muffins until golden brown.

Melt the butter in microwaveable bowl.
Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
When puff muffins are golden brown remove from oven, dip into melted butter and then into the cinnamon mixture.
Serve french puff muffin while still hot.

Recipe Yields: 10 muffins
