Sourdough Biscuits Recipe

1 cup
1/4 cup
1/2 teaspoon
1 cup

sourdough biscuit starter
shortening, melted
salt
all purpose flour
nonstick pan spray

Oven Temp: 425°
Recipe Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Pan Type: baking pan

Sourdough Directions

Preheat Oven.

In a large mixing bowl combine the sourdough starter. Next, melt shortening and salt together. Add enough of the flour so that the sourdough is easy to handle. On a lightly floured surface, roll the sourdough to ½” thickness. Cut with a biscuit cutter and place on your prepared pan. Bake sourdough biscuits in a hot oven for the allotted time.

Recipe Serves: about 12

Note: My favorite way to serve sourdough biscuits is hot out of the oven and topped with butter.
