Banana Walnut Waffles Recipe

2 cups
3 teaspoons
1/4 teaspoon
3/4 cup

1 1/4 cups

6 tablespoons
flour
baking powder
salt
walnuts, finely chopped
eggs, separated
milk
bananas
shortening, melted

Pan Type: waffle iron


Banana Waffles Directions

Preheat Waffle Iron.

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
In a separate bowl beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Add milk, egg yolks, bananas and oil to the dry ingredients, then mix with electric mixer for 2 minutes.
Bake your banana waffles on a hot waffle iron according to manufactures directions.
Remove hot waffles to a plate, sprinkle with a teaspoon of walnuts.
Serve banana walnut waffles with syrup and butter.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier.
