Orange Muffins Recipe

Orange Muffins for Lunch

2 cups
2 teaspoons
1/2 cup
1/4 teaspoon
1/4 cup
1
1 cup
1/2 cup
flour
baking powder
sugar
salt
shortening
egg
orange juice
chopped nuts

Oven Temp: 425º
Recipe Cooking Time: 30 Minutes
Pan Type: muffins pan


Orange Muffins Directions

Preheat your oven.

Sift the dry recipe ingredients together.
Cut in the shortening with a fork or pastry blender until the mixture resembles corn meal.
Beat the egg and add it to the orange juice.
Then stir in the dry recipe ingredients.
Stir in the nuts.
Spray the muffins pan with pan spray.
Fill 2/3 full. Bake orange muffins in your hot oven.

Remove muffins from oven and sprinkle the tops with white or brown sugar.

Recipe Servings: about 12 orange muffins

Note: Store muffins in an airtight container.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier.
