5 teaspoons
1 1/2 teaspoons
1 pound
Nabisco 100% bran cereal
boiling water
granulated sugar
vegetable oil
eggs
buttermilk
Kellogg’s All-Bran cereal
all purpose flour
baking soda
salt
raisins, optional

Oven Temp: 375°
Recipe Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Pan Type: muffins pans


Bran Muffins Directions

Preheat your oven.

Place the Nabisco 100% bran cereal in a large bowl. Pour boiling water over the bran cereal and let set while preparing other recipe ingredients.
In a large mixing bowl combine the sugar, oil and eggs.
Mix until fluffy. Stir in the buttermilk.
Add the flour, baking soda and salt, then mix until well blended.
Add the Kellogg’s All-Bran and raisins if desired.
Mix well.
Stir in Nabisco bran cereal mixture.
Fill muffin tins 2/3‘s full.

Bake your bran muffins for the allotted time or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
The Ms bran muffins batter can be refrigerate for up to 6 weeks.

Recipe Yields: 4 1/2 dozen muffins
