Chocolate Sour Cream Coffee Cake Recipe

1/4 cup
1/2 cup
3/4 tsp.
1/4 lb.
1 cup
1 tsp.
2 cups
1 tsp.
1 tsp.
1 cup
4 oz.
chopped walnuts
baking powder
baking soda
sour cream
chocolate chips

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Pan Type: 8 inch cake pan

Coffee Cake Directions

Preheat oven, grease and flour your pan.

Melt the butter and then let it cool.
Beat in the eggs, sugar, vanilla and mix well.
Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda and mix well.
Add the sour cream and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips, mix and pour 1/2 of coffee cake batter into pan.
Cover with 1/2 of filling.
Add remaining coffee cake batter and top with remaining filling.
Bake your chocolate sour cream coffee cake for the allotted time and enjoy.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
