Hot Crab Dip Recipe

1 – 6 ounce can
4 ounces
2 tablespoons
2 large
1 teaspoon
1 teaspoon
1/8 teaspoon
2 tablespoons
crab meat, drained
cream cheese, softened
green onions, tops & all
green pepper, chopped fine
cream style horseradish
slivered almonds

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Pan Type: 2 cup baking dish

Crab Dip Directions

Preheat your oven.

Open crab meat and drain well. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add the milk and beat well. Chop the green onions tops and all other recipe ingredients. Add to cream cheese dip mixture. Add the chopped green pepper, horseradish sauce and pepper. Mix until this part of the crab dip is well blended. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the baking dish. Top the hot crab dip with the slivered almonds. Bake crab dip for the allotted time. Serve hot crab dip along with crackers or small breads.

Note: For those that like it hot. They say hot spicy food is good for digestion. I'll bet that is only true for some.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
