Venison Barley Soup Recipe

2 pounds
9 1/2 cups water
4 teaspoons
1/2 cup
1 cup
2/3 cup
2/3 cup
2/3 cup
1 tablespoon
2 tablespoons
1 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
venison steak or stew meat
water
beef bouillon granules
red wine
peal barley
onion, chopped
celery, sliced thin
carrots, diced
parsley flakes
Worcestershire sauce
dry mustard
oregano
thyme
pepper
salt to taste

Recipe Cooking Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Pan Type: large stock pot


Venison Barley Soup Directions

Cut the venison meat into small cubes and place them in soup stock pot.
Add the water and bouillon.
Bring soup mixture to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer the venison for about 1 hour.
Add the wine, barley, onion, celery, carrots, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, oregano, thyme and pepper.
Simmer venison barley soup for the remaining time or until done.
Only after cooking, season this venison barley soup recipe with salt.

Recipe Serves: 8 to 10
